Meet Will Jones
Will Jones has spent more than 20 years fighting for justice and working to make our communities safer. As Prosecuting Attorney for the 6th Judicial District, which includes Pulaski and Perry Counties, Will brings experience, integrity, and a deep commitment to service.
From day one, Will has focused on reducing crime, standing up for victims, and rebuilding public trust in the justice system. Under his leadership, violent crime has dropped dramatically and homicides in Pulaski County are down by almost 50%. His hands-on approach includes responding personally to homicide scenes, regardless of the time, partnering with law enforcement, and launching innovative strategies to prevent crime before it happens.
But for Will, public safety is also about prevention, intervention, and community collaboration. He established new systems that support young people, created a unit to focus on violent crime, and expanded victim services across the district. He also modernized the prosecutor’s office by implementing a fully digital case management system, making the office more efficient and transparent.
A career prosecutor, Will previously served as Chief Deputy Prosecutor in the 11th West Judicial District, led the Cyber Crimes Unit as Deputy Attorney General, and was appointed Special Assistant U.S. Attorney to prosecute federal gun cases. He began his legal career in the same office he now leads.
Will’s dedication to public service extends far beyond the courtroom. He has served as president of the Pulaski County CASA Board, on the board of Rock Region Metro, and as a member of the Child Advocacy Centers of Arkansas Advisory Council. He’s also worked with the Arkansas Commission on Child Abuse, the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Task Force, and the state’s School Safety Commission.
In the classroom, Will has taught at both the Bowen School of Law and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In the community, he regularly speaks to civic groups about cyber safety, child protection, and the role of prosecutors in public safety.
Will and his wife, Paula Juels Jones, live in North Little Rock with their two children. They are active members of Lakewood United Methodist Church, where Will teaches Sunday School and chairs the Staff Pastor Parish Relations Committee.
